Five bulletproof helmet samples were treated as follows: Samples #1 and #5 were kept at room temperature; Sample #2 was kept at a high temperature of 55℃ ± 2℃ for 3 hours; Sample #3 was kept at a low temperature of -40℃ ± 2℃ for 3 hours; Sample #4 was soaked in room temperature water for 2 hours, then suspended and dripped with water for 5 minutes; Sample #5 underwent 48 hours of salt spray treatment.

The bulletproof helmet samples #1 through #5 were then fixed onto a test head model in sequence. A shooting distance of 5 meters was used, firing 1979-type 7.62mm light submachine guns at 1951-type 7.62mm pistol ammunition. For sample #1 (normal temperature), one effective shot was fired from each of the front, back, left, right, and top positions.

For sample #2 (high temperature), the shots were fired from the front and left side.

For sample #3 (low temperature), the shots were fired from the right and rear sides.

For sample #4 (immersion), the shots were fired from the top and front.

For sample #5 (salt spray), the shots were fired from the top and rear. The bullet velocity was 515 m/s ± 10 m/s, with the muzzle perpendicular to the front of the sample.

Sample #6 (bulletproof helmet) was fixed to the test head mold and subjected to a 1.1g standard simulated fragment ballistic limit V50 test.

Requirements: All bulletproof helmet samples should exhibit complete puncture resistance after effective ballistic impact, with the maximum bullet wound height not exceeding 25mm; the V50 value of the 1.1g standard simulated fragment ballistic limit of the sample should not be less than 650m/s. The bulletproof helmet samples, tested by our center for ballistic and fragmentation resistance under normal temperature, high temperature, low temperature, immersion, and salt spray conditions, all showed no penetration, with the maximum bullet wound height not exceeding 25mm; and the V50 value of the 1.1g standard simulated fragment ballistic limit of the sample was 665.91m/s.
